Announced by USDA : All classes of hay traded mostly steady to weak due to varied quality and color as a result of abnormally high humidity. According to the US Drought monitor the entire state is classified as being in a moderate to severe drought with the outlook calling for the drought to persist or intensify in the coming months. Demand moderate on all classes of hay on moderate trade activity.

Exporters purchasing activities were slow down because of quality for current cutting of Alfalfa.


Finishing 1st cut Alfalfa harvesting and ongoing 1st Cut Timothy Hay Strong demand for prompt shipment in Jun because old crop was too short supplying.
