Weekly #16 West Coast Hay and Straw

Southern California had windy but improved late week but expect high temperate in next week questioning Alfalfa quality. Higher grade traded 210-215 and lower 5-10 less. Central California current crop 53-54 TDN goes to export market and 1st cut limited as rain delayed. Northern California keep abnormally drying weather.

Not much activities. Most of trading was for domestic retail. Meadow grass @150, Premium Oat @150 in Eastern Oregon. Some grower will take out Alfalfa after harvesting 1st cut replacing crop to Sweat Corn or Dry Beans. Demand from Asia was still slower over-inventory in Korea and weak Yen in Japan.
